After started its career in 1998 as a Credit Analyst at Fortis Bank in the risk department, Benjamin Sabahi participated in several primary and secondary LBO transactions as part of the bank’s Acquisition Finance department. It then joined Fortis’s Credit Research as a Sell Side Analyst in 2003 where he was on charge of the coverage of several sectors including Telecoms, Media, Healthcare and Chemicals. He participated to several new issues where Fortis was the lead arranger. In 2017, Benjamin intended to improve its skills and knowledge of the European HY market. He joined Exane as a Sell Side credit analyst and progressively handled Exane’s Corporate Credit Research. He set up and managed the Ellipsis High Yield fund during two years. Meanwhile, Benjamin consistently managed Exane HY Prioriry list, Exane’s top HY Buy / Sell recommendation and participated in several roadshows across Europe for HY funds, Hedge funds, Private Banks or family offices. Its expertise spans from straight bonds, convertible bonds to derivatives products such as CLN notes or delta one baskets made of HY bonds. Benjamin joined Spread Research to lead the European High Yield Research in January 2018.
Rémi joined Spread Research as a credit analyst in September 2016, after being a credit analyst intern at Acofi Gestion. He holds a Master’s degree with honors in Corporate Finance and Financial Market from the University Pantheon-Assas in Paris. As part of his studies, Rémi was enrolled in exchange program in the Rosemont University, Canada.
Marc worked on the buy side for 9 years. Most recently with ICG plc covering syndicated and direct lending French leverage finance transactions and previously for 6.5 years with AIB plc working on credit analysis of new transactions, portfolio monitoring and debt restructuring within the office of Dublin, Toronto, New York and London mainly on middle market and large cap syndicated leverage finance transactions. After graduation, Marc worked at Caisse Epargne Rhône Alpes Lyon in SME banking for 2.5 years. Marc graduated from ESIA engineer school with a master in Mechanical Engineering then from EM Lyon business school in Corporate Finance.
Thomas worked for six years as a financial auditor for PwC before joining Spread Research in April 2018. He holds a Master ‘s degree in Finance from Audencia Business School, with part of his studies spent in University College Dublin and a Master’s degree in Accounting (DSCG).
Mateo joined Spread Research in 2019 as a junior analyst after his intership in Octo Finances. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and International Finances from La Universidad de la Sabana in Colombia, and a Master’s degree in Investment Banking & Capital Markets from IESEG.
Prior to joining the team in 2019, Johann spent 8.5 years in BNP Paribas, holding various positions in Coverage for large corporates from analyst to relationship manager in Madrid, London and Paris. Johann also has experiences within corporate having spent 1.5 year in the treasury department of a €500m turnover company. He has a Master in Corporate Finance from the University of Lyon 3 Jean-Moulin
Solweig joined Spread Research as a Senior High Yield Credit analyst in November 2020, covering the Consumer, Retail and Services sectors. She previously worked for 5 years as an investment banker in London in M&A and Corporate Banking for CIBC and in M&A for Cantor Fitzgerald. Solweig holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from NEOMA Business School and a Master’s degree in corporate law from Sorbonne University.
Jérémy began his career at Spread Research as a quantitative analyst intern, and became a member of the quantitative team in October 2016. He holds a Master’s degree with high distinction in quantitative economics and econometrics from the University of Lyon. Throughout his studies, Jeremy participated in an Erasmus program in Sweden, was involved in several research projects, and was an economic research intern at Groupe Xerfi.
François joined Spread Research in 2021 as a Senior High Yield Credit Analyst. He mainly covers Cable, Telecom and Technology sectors. Prior to that, François worked as an Associate within the large cap group of Rothschild & Cie focusing on debt and restructuring complex transactions. He started his career as a Sell-Side High Yield Analyst at Natixis.
François holds two master’s degrees in Corporate Finance and Financial Markets from Paris Dauphine University.
After her internship at Spread Research, Andrea joined the team as a Junior Credit Analyst in December 2020. She holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering and Transaction from the Iaelyon. As part of her studies, Andrea was enrolled in an exchange program in the University of Georgia, USA.
Mickael joined Qivalio Group in 2020 as a Credit Rating Analyst, prior to that Mickael spent 1.5 year as a structured finance analyst in the Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors at CACIB in Houston, TX. He holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Malick joined Spread Research as a Credit Analyst in March 2021, after a Sell-Side High Yield Analyst internship at Natixis. He holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance & Banking and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School where he graduated in 2020.
Nicholas joined Qivalio as an ESG analyst at Ethifinance and then joined the credit analyst team of Spread Research in April 2019. He holds a Master in Environmental Management and Corporate Social Responsibility (University Paris-Saclay UVSQ) and a Master in Finance (University Pantheon-Assas).
Santiago joined Spread Research in July 2021 as Credit Analyst Intern. He is pursuing an
undergraduate degree in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de
Colombia, and a Master’s degree in Asset and Risk Management from IESEG.
Mirela joined Spread Research in January 2018 where she is in charge of the international business development. She has an excellent knowledge of the fixed-income market structure and instruments having been in charge of the EuroMTS indices business within LSE Group for 13 years.
Previous to that, she covered the European interest rates markets as a reporter with Dow Jones Newswires. Her career started at BNP Paribas, as an emerging markets bonds trader. Mirela is graduated from ESCP Europe.
Mathieu Vernay started its sales career at Société Générale Structured Products desk in 2014 after working as a Fixed Income Front Office assistant at Credit Mutuel.
Strong of its two masters in finance, he joined the business development team of Spread Research in 2015 where he is responsible for the development of the IRP activity.
Graduate engineer from ENSAE, Élie Hériard Dubreuil started his career in structured finance and quantitative analytics at Fitch Ratings, before furthering his investment banking skills at CDC IXIS and the Caisses d’Épargne Group. He then had worldwide responsibilities for S&P Global, based successively in Paris, New York and London. Over 12 years, Élie led projects in rating analysis and rating methodology regarding sovereigns, supranationals, public sector entities and financial institutions. In 2018 and 2019, he co-managed Beyond Ratings, an innovative rating agency integrating long-term sustainability.
Graduaded from EDHEC Business School, Nicolas has 20 years of international experiences in challenging environment leading several transformation plans: 10 years for Magna International (Automotive Sector) as a Finance Manager and as Purchasing Manager. More than 6 years woking for Esprit, a clothing international manufacturer, as Business development manager and then head of wholesale in Southern Europe.
